Irina Shlain, LM, CPM, A.P., is a licensed midwife {License # MW454} an acupuncture physician {License # AP3560}, birth educator and labour doula. She is also an experienced E-RYT 200 yoga instructor and educator trained in Vinyasa and Prenatal Yoga.

Irina completed the Oriental Medicine Masters program at Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2014, and received Acupuncture Physician licensure.

Irina began Monkey Mind Wellness in South Florida, an Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine practice focusing on reproductive health. Just a few years later, she became a first time mama to a baby boy named Elijah, which eventually led to her obtaining certification to become a labor doula, midwifery birth assistant and birth educator. In 2023, Irina graduated a direct entry midwifery program at Florida School of Traditional Midwifery in Gainsville, FL.

Irina is a practicing licensed midwife, birth educator, placenta specialist, licensed acupuncturist and yoga teacher. As owner and operator of Monkey Mind Wellness & Wildflowers Midwifery, the chief focus is on treatment of Reproductive & Gynocological Health and Pediatrics.

Irina continues to pursue further post-graduate education in Obstetrical Acupuncture (OBAA) Pediatric Acupuncture, and Fertility Acupuncture (ABORM) through various connections including, but not limited to:

VANESSA VALDES

Vanessa Valdes has years of experience as a domestic violence and sexual assault advocate and centers care around a trauma informed approach. She is a trained doula through Commonsense Childbirth Institute, a birth assistant, a Neonatal Resuscitation provider and childbirth educator.

She believes in the innate wisdom of birth and the importance of creating a safe and sacred space.

Currently Vanessa is a doula, birth assistant, childbirth educator and eternal student of the birth world.

I look forward to working with you and providing you with the resources and education to turn your birth concerns into calm confidence.

Belle has been serving and supporting the birth community for half a decade now. She chose her doula path as a doula while preparing for her own homebirth and faced a lot of misinformation from her entourage about her & her husband's choice to birth outside of the hospital. She then started her own support group dedicated to home birthers.

Pursuing her education, she certified as a Labor Doula with the international organization C.A.P.P.A. She trained as a midwife assistant and is CPR certified.

Belle is equally passionate to serve families on their breastfeeding journey as a peer lactation consultant while she is still nursing her toddlers herself. In her practice, she also offers her support as a postpartum doula and a womb binding practitioner during the precious sacred window of postpartum.

Belle wholeheartedly trusts every woman's abilities and right to birth her baby between science and sacred. She relies on evidence-based information while valuing the wisdom of the women before us.

Birth is a Rite of Passage. Let her be your keeper.
